About the Doctor
Dr. Bridget Dean, NMD, completed her education at the Southwest College of Naturopathic Medicine in 2016, focusing on women's health and family care. Prior to attending SCNM, she completed a Bachelor's degree from Northern Arizona University in Biology, with minors in Chemistry and Theatre. While at NAU, she conducted research focusing on gut immunology, parasitology, and biofilm physiology. Dr. Dean was chosen to be a Helios Scholar in 2009 at the Translational Genomics Research Institute (TGen), during which she was involved in research to aid in the streamlining of diagnostics for clinical fungal infections. She worked towards her Masters degree in biology while teaching microbiology labs and a writing class for science majors at NAU. After two years of graduate work, Dr. Dean found her true calling, and left her Masters studies in order to pursue a degree in Naturopathic Medicine. Her strong background in research supplements her critical thinking skills and training in naturopathic care to provide the best possible approach to your needs.
In her spare time, Dr. Dean enjoys spending time with her husband and son. When she's not playing with her dogs, she enjoys golfing and watching hockey.
Dr. Dean is a member of the Arizona Naturopathic Medical Association, Pediatric Association of Naturopathic Physicians, and the American Association of Naturopathic Physicians.
